The dashboard¶
The dashboard lists every survey project you own and every project shared with you.
Projects and folders¶
A project is the container for one survey, all of its versions, its responses, and its public link. The dashboard groups your projects into folders you create yourself. Folders are private to you, collaborators never see your folder structure. Projects that are not in any folder appear below a separator line so foldered and unfoldered work stay visually distinct.
From the dashboard you can
- Create a project with the new-survey button.
- Create, rename, and delete folders. Deleting a folder never deletes the projects inside it, they fall back to the unfoldered area.
- Move projects into folders by dragging a project card onto a folder (pointer devices).
- Duplicate a project, which copies the current version into a brand-new project with its own link.
- Open a project, which takes you to its Builder.
Shared with me¶
Projects other researchers have shared with you appear in their own section, separate from your folders. You receive an invitation by email or as a dashboard banner and must accept it before the project appears. See Collaborators.
The dashboard Recycle Bin¶
Deleting a project moves it to the Recycle Bin rather than destroying it. Open the bin from the dashboard to Restore a project (it returns exactly where it was) or Delete forever. Permanent deletion removes the project, all versions, all responses, and all participant-uploaded files, and cannot be undone.
The bin is for whole projects. Individual blocks, questions, and choices deleted while editing go to the per-survey Recycle Bin inside the editor instead, see The Builder.
