The Assets library¶
Assets is your per-account file library, images and videos for embedding in surveys, and spreadsheets for importing rating items. Open it from the main navigation or from any survey's header (the survey route pre-filters the library to that survey and gives you a back link).
Uploading¶
Drag files onto the page or use the upload button (multiple files at once are fine). Allowed types cover common images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP), video (MP4, WebM), and data files (CSV, XLSX). Each file can be up to 100 MB and each account has a 500 MB storage quota.
Organization and search¶
Filter chips narrow by kind (images, videos, spreadsheets), a search box matches names and titles, and a survey filter shows only the assets used by a given survey. Cards show thumbnails for images, each card offers copy-URL (public assets), rename, download, visibility controls, and delete.
Usage tracking¶
The platform records where each asset is used, an image inserted into question text registers against that survey, and a spreadsheet imported into a rating task registers against that survey permanently (the import record persists even after the embed-or-not state of the file changes, because the data it carried is in the survey). Usage powers the per-survey filter and the are-you-sure warnings when deleting or privatizing a file that surveys depend on.
Saved questions and choice presets¶
The Assets page also hosts the Question Repository and choice presets in their own tabs. The page remembers which tab you were on across refreshes.
Public and private files¶
Every asset is either public (embeddable, has a URL) or private (confidential, no URL, researcher-side use only). This distinction has real consequences for deletion and for what participants can load, see Visibility and deletion.
